(Gone, Bany, Gone)

And its disappearance at time when  the COVID-19 pandemic is wreaking havoc in the United Kingdom, could lead to online shortages of BrewDog’s Punk IPA.

Here’s the deal…

On March 24 BrewDog co-Founder James Watt took to twitter to announce that a truck in route to the brewer’s distribution center had been stolen.

, £150,000 Of Beer Stolen From BrewDog Truck In The UKThe beer, believed to be cans of the brewery’s award-winning Punk IPA, was taken from the truck’s trailer while it was parked at a regional service station in England on Tuesday at around 7:45am.

Watt estimated that the economic loss might be as high as £150,000, which for a company that recently reported losing 70% of its value overnight due to the impact of the coronavirus, seems minor in retrospect…but still.

Watt also worried that the theft could lead to a temporary shortage of BrewDog Punk IPA online.  And he added that with many in the UK sheltering-in-place, the company was making every effort to increase stock at a critical time.

BrewDog released this additional statement on the thefts…

“A BrewDog order was destined for our online shop distribution center to keep up with high demand.  It was a full truck load with 26 pallets of BrewDog beer.”

“We are working with the Cheshire Police but would appreciate any leads.”
