Summer is ON and American craft brewers are addressing things with intriguing new beers you’re gonna want to have around this weekend.

Back To The Land (Framingham, MA) – Exhibit ‘A’ Brewing is an environmentally-conscience, awarding-winning craft brewery, and they’ve a terrific new addition to their Local Malt Lagers Series. Each lager in this series is made entirely with locally grown and malted grains.

Crafted with malts from New York State’s Dancing Grain Farm and the Thrall Farm in Connecticut, Exhibit ‘A’ Right To Farm is a 4.7% ABV Northeast Pale Lager with light toasted bread notes, a crisp carbonation and an herbal orange hop character. And each case of this beer supports 90 square feet of local farmland.

Available to ship DTC from their website to Massachusetts, New Hampshire, Virginia, DC, Nebraska and Pennsylvania this is a beer that pairs smartly with warm weather.

Modern Love (Minneapolis, MN) – Indeed Brewing has a new addition to its year-round lineup that’s big on flavor but low in alcohol. Packed with sweet and citrusy notes of orange, pineapple, mango, and berries, Modern Age Session IPA is a 3.8% ABV India Pale Ale with a subtle malt profile that showcases the beer’s Citra, Mosaic, Galaxy, and Strata hop character.

“There’s few hoppy session beers that we love to drink — Size 4 from Steel Toe and Founders All Day IPA are the two that come to mind — and we’re excited to add a really awesome beer to that category, “says Ryan Bandy, Director of Experience, Indeed Brewing Company. “It took us a few different batches of R&D to get this one right, but the final liquid is delicious.  The brewers found a way to have it drink closer to a 6% IPA, with a nice mouthfeel and a little bitterness. But, as an aging Millennial, we all appreciate the ability to have a few beers without needing to call an Uber or take a nap!”

, Weekend Beer: New Session India Pale Ales And LagersBeer Fest Best (White Plains, NY) – When it comes to the best Oktoberfest beers one has to look to Munich, home to the original Oktoberfest celebration. For over 100 years, the Märzen style (a full-bodied malt-rich lager) ruled Munich’s Oktoberfest. But In 1990, festival organizers realized that modern tastes were changing and that festival-goers were asking for something lighter. And Paulaner USA offers a hoppier take on the Oktoberfest tradition. Paulaner’s No. 1 export beer in over 30 countries, Paulaner Original Munich Lager is a 4.9% ABV Helles-Style lager with the perfect balance of malty character and the light bitterness.
