The CBC is ON in Philly and they’ve brewed up something special to celebrate the occasion. We’ve that and some classic lagers you absolutely don’t want to miss out on.
“Of the Brewers. By the Brewers. For the Brewers” (Philadelphia, PA) – The Craft Brewers Conference® and BrewExpo America® landed Philadelphia this week, and each year, breweries from this professional-only gathering, collaborate on a one-of-a-kind commemorative beer. For 2026, the Brewers of Pennsylvania played a BIG role in bringing this one-of-a-kind collaboration to life.
This year’s celebratory offering, Of the Brewers. By the Brewers. For the Brewers, is a 4.7% ABV single malt, single hop lager. It features Spalter Select hops, donated by IGN Hopfen, delivering herbal, grassy, and gently hoppy aromatics. Bestmalz Heidelberg Malt, provided by The Country Malt Group, was selected for its exceptional performance in pale lagers.
This project involved the entire brewing supply chain:
- Brewing: Hosted by Yards Brewing Company at their 500 Spring Garden Street facility.
- Packaging: Digital can printing was provided by Hart Print, featuring a design that includes colonial-era imagery and a nod to Benjamin Franklin’s “Join, or Die” serpent.
- Supplies: Can ends were provided by Zuckerman Honickman, and can trays were donated by The Royal Group.
Registered attendees can pick up a commemorative can at the Pennsylvania Convention Center in the Grand Hall, located next to the Brewers of Pennsylvania booth from April 20–22, 2026. And the beer is available to all beer lovers at the Yards Brewing Company taproom during CBC week on a first-come, first-served basis.
This award-winning beer has already received national acclaim, earning a bronze medal in 2018 in the American-Style Pilsener category and a silver medal in 2014 in the American-Style or International-Style Pilsener category.
Czech This One Out (Colorado) – Lone Tree Brewing has returned a summertime fav that was designed for high drinkability with a focus on traditional ingredients. Aggressively hopped with a new hop for Lone Tree, Zuper Saazer, grown at Hop Head Farms in Southwest Michigan, Lone Tree Czech Lager is a 4.5% ABV limited release with a crisp, clean finish and a balanced bitterness.
‘We like a little fight in our Pilsners, IPAs, and other hop-forward beers from an IBU standpoint,” said Jerry Siote, Lone Tree Brewing Director of Operations. “Given the current trends for straightforward lagers, we felt that highlighting the rich heritage of Czech culture could illustrate our depth and variation within the light lager category.”
