June is ON and American craft brewers are addressing things with a full slate of new beers you’re gonna want to chase down.

Take A Side (Paso Robles, CA) – Firestone Walker has a new addition to its Barrel-Aged Vintage Series, an interesting hybrid ale modeled after the Sidecar cocktail. The traditional Sidecar is made with Cognac, orange liqueur and lemon juice.

Firestone Walker Gold Rider is built on a base beer that was infused with Central Coast white wine juice, them fermented and aged in 500-liter XXO French Cognac barrels for two years, with a separate portion matured in orange bitters barrels.

My love for the Sidecar cocktail goes right in line with my appreciation for Cognacs,” said Barrel Program Manager Eric Ponce. “This is a beer I’ve long wanted to make, and I finally got the perfect barrels to do it.” These ‘extra, extra old’ barrels come from one of France’s great Cognac houses. You get this refined Cognac character that can only come from barrels like these.”

All American (Bucks County, PA) – Neshaminy Creek Brewing is an award-winning craft brewery and taproom located just north of Philadelphia in Croydon, PA. Founded in 2010, the brewery has grown exponentially over the years and expanded distribution across Pennsylvania, New Jersey, Delaware, and Maryland. And they’ve a Keystone Series release that’s well worth your time.

Named using an Eastern Pennsylvania slang word that refers to “a person, place, thing or event that one cannot give specific name to,” Neshaminy Creek J.A.W.N. American Pale Ale is a malty yet crisp 5.2% ABV refresher loaded with dank citrus and stone fruit flavors thanks to an almost reckless abundance of Apollo, Citra, and Nugget hops.

Light Hearted (Japan) – Just because Sapporo is the oldest brand of beer in Japan (it was founded in 1876) doesn’t mean they’ve stopped innovating. And they’ve a light lager that drinks like the big boys but only has 2.4g carbs and 90 calories.

, New Cocktail Beers And Japanese LagersBrewed to pair perfectly with sushi, day-drinking or just a healthier lifestyle Sapporo Pure is a 4% ABV Lager with subtle floral notes and a dry, crisp and clean finish. It’s our experience that most low-calorie lagers disappoint when it comes to flavor. This beer does not.
