Just when we start to think we’ve got a handle on most things 'beer' (we do write about it 24/7) we get blindsided by something new, at least to us…like Isinglass. What the hell is that?
We recently took on what many consider to be the nation’s current reigning beer style in What the Hell is a New England IPA. But there’s another subset of this whole (hazy, cloudy, NEIPAs) thing that’s also interesting …something that’s called a Milkshake IPA.
Yes, it’s an actual beer style, and yes, it originated in New England…And even though it tends to go by a lot of names nowadays (hazy, cloudy, NEIPAs) the New England IPA remains one of America’s newest and hottest beer styles.
We’re all familiar with the term ‘Trappist Ale”….right? But do we really understand the true meaning of that historical designation or its historical roots? So we’ve gathered some fundamentals on what many consider to be the best beers in the world.
