SUMMER is ON…And brewers are addressing the season with a variety of intoxicating new beer offerings that you’re going to want to chase down.

Beer Before Glory (Paso Robles, CA) – Firestone Walker is hitting the ground running this summer with the special single-hop release that’s exclusive to the 2019 edition of the Beer Before Glory mixed pack.

Brewed using only Cashmere hops, Firestone Walker Cashmere XPA is a 5.5% ABV Extra Pale Ale bursting with  lush flavors of Palisade peach and tropical fruit. The Beer Before Glory mixed pack (12 x 12-ounce cans) also includes the brewery’s afterwork fav, Firestone Lager, a new iteration of Easy Jack with an even lower 4% ABV,  and the legend known as Union Jack.

Tart Behavior (Baltimore, MD) –Heavy Seas Beer will be introducing something entirely new to its 2019 portfolio in July that sounds interesting.. Brewed with a light malt base and just the right degree of hop bite, Heavy Seas Sun Burst is a 4.5% ABV Sour Ale with a tart raspberry and lemon characteristics that temper but never overwhelm.

beer, Beer Alert – New Helles Lagers, Fruit Sours, Extra Pale AlesJust For the Helles of It (Alexandria, VA) – On Friday, June 21, Port City Brewing Company is returning a special summer lager, available for the first time  in 12oz bottles with artwork that pays homage to Bavaria’s half-timbered houses. A delicate balancing game of flavors: malty but not sweet, hoppy but not bitter, and full bodied by not heavy, Port City Helles Lager is a 5.2% ABV limited release that’s bright and just right at this time of year.

The Wanderer (Atlanta, GA) – Georgia’s Reformation Brewery is celebrating summer’s arrival with its latest transiting Nolan The Wandering IPA  Series release. The second of three releases scheduled for 2019, Reformation Nolan #005 is a 7.2% ABV India Pale Ale fueled on abundant additions of Columbus, Tomahawk, Zeus, and Eureka hops added later in the brewing process to keep things juicy.
