Spring is just around the corner and American brewers are addressing things with a whole new roster of  beers that you’re gonna want to have around as the seasons change.

Elysian Enters New Phaze (Seattle, WA) – Elysian Brewing has a new addition to its Space Dust Series that is certain to stun. Crafted with a blend of Chinook, Amarillo, Citra Incognito, and Citra Cryo hops, alongside rare and innovative, citrus-forward, Oregon-grown Luminosa hops, Elysian Phaze Dust Hazy IPA  is an 8.2% ABV India Pale Ale with a soft bitterness,  pillowy mouthfeel and sweet hints of candied peach, mango, and tangerine.

“With Phaze Dust Hazy IPA, we wanted to craft a new expression that nods to our roots while offering a fresh take on the Space Dust Series, Brittney Hicks, Space Dust Brand Director told American Craft Beer. The result is an incredibly drinkable Imperial Hazy IPA that offers a balanced taste anchored in the familiar citrus character that each IPA in the Space Dust Series has in common. Adding Luminosa hops from Oregon was a game-changer, bringing a new layer of citrus-forward complexity that makes Phaze Dust worthy of its place in the Space Dust Series.”

In Seattle, Phaze Dust  is on tap at both of Elysian’s pub locations:  available regionally in 19 oz cans and a 12 oz 6-pack at selected retailers in WA and OR, and included as part of the new Space Dust Series Variety Pack which is getting a national rollout.

Our Favorite Non-Alcoholic Stout (Dublin) – Non-Alcoholic beers have come a long way since your uncle used to order an O’Doul’s. And with Saint Partick’s Day nearing we wanted to remind you that Guinness has its own non-alcoholic take on its classic dry stout that does not disappoint. Amazingly close stylistically to Guinness Draught in all aspects except buzz, Guinness 0 boasts its beautifully smooth taste, perfectly balanced flavor, unique dark color, topped off with an uber-creamy head.

To create Guinness 0 the St James’s Gate brewers, start by brewing Guinness exactly as they always have, using the same natural ingredients; water, barley, hops, and yeast; before gently removing the alcohol through a cold filtration method.

The cold filtration process allows the alcohol to be filtered out without presenting thermal stress to the beer, protecting the integrity of its taste and character. The brewers then blend and balance the flavors to ensure the distinctive flavor profile and taste characteristics of Guinness.
