Summer may not have arrived, but it’s coming soon, so you’re gonna need the kinds of beer that suit the season. But rest assured, American craft brewers have got this!
Let The Sunshine In (Hershey, PA) – Tröegs Independent Brewing has returned a popular “Once-a-Year Series,” release which was introduced in 2024 as an exclusive beer in the Summer of Sunshine variety pack.
Crafted with a deft combination of pilsner malt and flaked rice to lend a crisp, clean flavor profile to the beer, Tröegs Sunshine Salt + Lime Lager is a 4.3% ABV refresher with zesty notes of lime and just the right touch of Kosher salt.
“We brewed a Scratch batch back in the summer of 2023 and loved the results,” Tröegs co-founding brother and brewmaster John Trogner said. “We decided to include it in our 2024 summer variety pack, after many of our fans said it was the standout beer. This is definitely the beer you want in hand while you’re vacationing at the beach!”
Best of Both Worlds (Framingham, MA) – , Jack’s Abby Craft Lagers and Germany’s Warsteiner have teamed up and crafted a beer perfect for celebrating Maifest—the transition from winter to spring. A showcase of classic Pilsner malt, noble hops, and a decoction mash (a traditional method of boiling a portion of the mash), Jack’s Abby Fest of Both Worlds is a 5.9% ABV limited release lager that honors tradition while brewing for today.

“It’s a remarkable honor to have the opportunity to brew a collaboration with one of the most iconic names in the world for lager,” Jack’s Abby Co-Founder Jack Hendler said. “I’ve always looked to Weihenstephan for inspiration over my career and this marks a milestone for the brewery.”
“I am truly excited about this project, as it brings together two breweries that share the same unwavering commitment to exceptional beer quality,” said Sebastian Palm, Technical Manager Licensees Int. of Warsteiner Brewery. “For me, this project represents much more than just a collaboration brew—it is a unique chance to create something truly special and memorable.”
Weihenstephan rarely does collaborations in the United States. In fact, this marks only the fourth in the German brewery’s storied history. The two breweries have been forging a relationship for almost 6 years including multiple trips to each other’s breweries and many shared lagers.
Fest of Both Worlds is rolling out this April to select retailers, including most Trader Joe’s locations across 25 states. Fest of Both Worlds will also arrive at most Whole Foods locations in June, such as: AL, AZ, CA, CO, CT, DC, FL, GA, IN, ME, MA, MI, NV, NH, NJ, NM, NY, NC, OH, OK, PA, SC, TN, TX, VA, WI
An American Classic Perfected (California) – Non-Alcoholic beers have come a long way since your uncle used to order an O’Doul’s. And there’s a Northern California brewery, Best Day Brewing, which has introduced its own take on the Pilsner that happens to be non-alcoholic.
Brewed with an all-American mix of hops and malts, Best Day Wild American is a crisp and perfectly balanced Pilsner that’s perfect for summertime doings, but won’t leave you buzzed.
