In 2016 they were contacted by Elvis Presley Enterprises which manages the name and likeness of the rock and roll great, and who objected to BrewDog registering the names ‘Elvis Juice’ and ‘BrewDog Elvis Juice’ as trademarks.

BrewDog Founders James Watt And Martin Dickie took the position that Elvis was a common name and as we reported they countered the Elvis Estate’s argument by legally changing their first names to Elvis.

Elvis Rules Rule– But evidently he UK’s Intellectual Property Office wasn’t amused and they’ve found in favor of EPE and reportedly have been ordered to pay the Elvis estate’s £1500 costs in the case and more importantly change their popular beer’s name.
