New Imperial Stouts And Pumpkin Beers

August is ON, but fall is just around the corner and American craft brewers are addressing the changing seasons with interesting beer offerings you’re gonna want to have around.

Get Juiced (Escondido, CA) – Stone Brewing has a new year-round and not all that surprisingly, it’s a hazy IPA. Brewed with a unique combination of fruity and tropical hops and described by its brewers as an “absolute juicy citrus bomb of a beer,” Stone Hazy IPA is a 6.7% ABV India Pale Ale with tons of orange, lemon, melon, mango and pineapple notes.

“We wanted a beer that still retained the juicy goodness of a blended East Coast and West Coast IPA style, but with a smoother body, lower bitterness, and lower ABV,” Kris Ketcham, Senior Manager of Brewing & Innovation – Liberty Station and lead mastermind behind this brew explained. “We trialed many beers in this style, and although several were really good, it was this one that blew everyone away. It was a big hit at our taprooms.”

Border Crossing (San Diego, CA) – AleSmith Brewing has released its third-quarter Speedway Stout variation and as usual it’s impeccably crafted and brewed to perfection. Taking its lead from the flavors and tones of Mexico, Speedway Stout Variant #3: Mexican Dark Chocolate, Sea Salt and Mexican Coffee is a 12% ABV Imperial Stout renowned for its rich chocolate and roasted malts reinforced by subtle notes of toffee and caramel.

“For this special edition of our signature imperial stout, we were inspired to feature ingredients from our neighbors to the south,” says Ryan Crisp, Head Brewer and Director of Brewery Operations. “We used a trio of Mexican dark chocolate, sea salt and Mexican coffee to give the beer notes of cacao and dark fruit, plus a subtle touch of cinnamon and roasty earthiness.”

A Beer to ‘Fall” For (Charlotte, NC) – Fall is coming and with that in mind Sycamore Brewing is returning one of its most popular seasonals. Crafted with locally sourced fresh pumpkin, Sycamore Pumpkin Latte Blonde is a 5.8% ABV limited release nuanced with fresh spices, real vanilla and house-roasted coffee.
