Winter will soon be a memory, and American craft brewers are looking to spring with a smart roster of special limited releases you’re gonna want to chase down.

Going Gaelic (Ashville, NC) – Highland Brewing was established in 1994 by Oscar Wong, a retired engineer and entrepreneur and a brewing legend in that region. It holds the distinction of being the first brewery to open in Asheville since Prohibition and is the largest independent, family-owned brewery native to the Southeast. And one of their flagship beers holds the honor of being Asheville’s first craft beer.

Crafted with a deft menu of Chinook, Willamette, and Cascade hops that is tethered to a sturdy malt backbone Highland Gaelic Ale is an uber-balanced 5.5%  ABV American Amber Ale with a rich malty body and layers of toffee, caramel, and nut tones.

Can of East Brother Czech Dark Lager against dark backgound,Bohemia’s Quiet Masterpiece (Richmond, CA) – Founded in 2016 by friends Rob Lightner and Chris Coomber, East Brother Beer Company is an award-winning independent craft brewery, specializing in brewing classic, timeless beer styles with precision. And they’ve a new seasonal release that’s amazing true to its European roots.

Brewed for the modern craft beer drinker, East Brother Czech Dark Lager is a5.7% ABV classic style executed with precision. With a dark brown, maroon-like appearance, this lager layers dark chocolate, burnt sugar, and light coffee aromas. This bready malt also delivers a lightly sweet, refreshingly smooth palate.

In its homeland of Bohemia, Tmavé Pivo (literally “dark beer”) wasn’t a novelty or a seasonal gimmick; it was the comforting heartbeat of the local pub While the world still celebrates the 1842 “Golden Revolution” of Pilsner, the dark lager remained in the shadows—soulful, steady, and sometimes misunderstood, and East Brother gets it right.
