Winter’s waning, and American craft brewers are already looking to spring with a smart roster of special limited releases you’re gonna want to chase down.
Crushable Anytime, Anywhere (Ashville, NC) – Highland Brewing was established in 1994 by Oscar Wong, a retired engineer and entrepreneur and a brewing legend in that region. It holds the distinction of being the first brewery to open in Asheville since Prohibition and is the largest independent, family-owned brewery native to the Southeast. And they’ve an approachable IPA, that’s become one of our favorite “end-of-day” beers, at the American Craft Beer compound.
Crafted with a smart mix of Mosaic, El Dorado, Azacca, and Apollo hops Highland Daycation IPA is a surprisingly full-bodied Session-Style India Pale Ale with bright f papaya, tangerine, and pine notes and a crisp, moderately bitter finish.
Into The Deep Steep (Frisco, CO) -Located at 9,100 ft in Frisco, Colorado, with another high altitude taproom the French Alps, Outer Range Brewing is a unique brewing outfit committed to crafting serious beer while providing a snowy “mountain refuge” experience.

Through this partnership, Outer Range’s artisan beers will now be poured across all Vail Resorts’ Colorado destinations-as well as at select on-mountain and base-area bars and restaurants.
Founded in 2016 by Army veterans Lee and Emily Cleghorn, the brewery is also celebrating its 9th anniversary with something steep and deep. A higher octane version of their flagship “In the Steep” IPA, Outer Range In The Deep Steep is a 9% ABV West Coast IPA with juicy grapefruit, peach, and mango notes, a plush, silky mouth feel a bittersweet finish. As of March 2026, this beer remains an active and popular release from the brewery, so if you’re in the Colorado Rockies, hopefully it’s around.
