A Florida brewery is working to find shelter dogs a permanent home — by showcasing them on their faces on their beer cans.
Here’s the deal…
In an effort to find homeless dogs permanent homes, Bradenton, Florida-based Motorworks Brewing is offering the Adoptable Dog Cruiser Kölsch 4-PACKs… featuring the brewery’s bestselling 4.8% ABV German Kölsch-style Ale with four different cute little doggy faces prominently plastered on them…each one virtually screaming ADOPT ME.
In addition to the impossible for dog-lovers to ignore photos, the label includes a blurb about the pooch’s life story and information for plans on building a new dog shelter in Manatee County.
Motorworks is Bradenton’s first craft brewery. Co-founded by Frank and Denise Tshidi, it’s located in a classic 1924 Hudson car dealership that’s been smartly retrofitted to house its brewery and taproom.
Home to the largest beer garden in Florida, complete with a spacious deck built around a magnificent 150+ year-old oak tree, Motorworks is all about its four legged friends…
Not only are they a dog-friendly brewery, they’re totally committed to dogs in their community, and to places like Shelter Manatee who work to find those dogs permanent homes.
The brewery recently showcased its Adoptable Dog Cruiser Kölsch at a “Yappy Hour” event, where the dogs on the cans and other adoptable pups made an appearance, according to their Facebook post.
And that event, which also included silent auctions and drink specials to help raise funds for local animal charities, found permanent homes for two of the dogs featured on the cans according to the NY Post.
