Beer Alert: New Raspberry Ales And Winter Seasonals

Winter’s arrived and American craft brewers are addressing the holiday season with more exciting offerings you’re gonna want have around.

.Snow Job (Hershey, PA) – Just in time for the holidays, Tröegs Brewing has returned a popular winter seasonal which only makes its appearance once a year. Described by the brewery as a ‘blizzard of hops, turned up to 11,” Tröegs Double Blizzard is an 8.3% ABV IPA thatt’s dry-hopped out of its mind.

To craft this wintertime favorite Tröegs used a cooler temperature for the kettle hop additions, softening the character of the Centennial, Chinook and El Dorado. On the cold side they dry-hopped this annual limited release with four pounds per barrel of Chinook and Galaxy, so this thing’s hoppy.

The Motherlode (Grand Rapids, MI) – Founders Brewing has announced their final Mothership Series beer for the year, a special small batch release that will only be available at the brewery’s Grand Rapids and Detroit taprooms in December.

A festive take on Blushing Padre, the brewery’s raspberry Belgian ale, Founders Blushing Claus is an 11.9% ABV limited release that was aged in tequila barrels before being dosed with just enough cranberries and orange zest to make any mouth feel merry during the holiday season.

Going Big (Salt Lake City, UT) – Epic Brewing just debuted its final beer of 2021 and its BIG. A one-two combo of hops and malt Epic Big Boy Hoppy Brown Ale is a 7.5% ABV Limited Seasonal Ale that melds the hoppy aggressiveness of a West Coast IPA with the smooth maltiness of a serious Brown Ale.

Stout Stuff (Richmond, CA) – Founded by two friends, East Brother Beer Co. is a San Francisco Bay area brewery which excels at brewing classic styles. And they’ve a stout that absolutely nails it. East Brother Oatmeal Stout is 5.4% ABV, English-Style take on a proud brewing tradition with rich notes of milk chocolate, dark fruit and a soft finish.
