November is ON and craft brewers are addressing the cooling weather with exciting new offerings you’re gonna want to chase down this weekend.

Fruitful (Grand Rapids, MI) – Founders Brewing Co. has announced the return of barrel-aged exotic that was last released as part of its Mothership Series in 2020. Available in 4-packs of 12oz bottles and on draft in Founders’ Grand Rapids and Detroit taprooms on Nov. 26 as well as  nationwide starting in January 2022, Founders Frootwood is a light-bodied 8% ABV Cherry Ale aged in barrels that previously held bourbon and maple syrup.

According to the brewery, “The wood proves itself the star of this beer, adding depth and taming the tart cherry while the maple imposes a velvety texture that lingers.” You put the right beer in the right barrel and you’re going to create some pretty interesting flavors,” added Jeremy Kosmicki, Founders Brewmaster.

A Crosstown Collaboration (Milwaukee, WI) – Miller High Life and Milwaukee’s Lakefront Brewery have teamed up on a collaboration beer that melds the instincts of a legendary brand with one of the city’s most progressive craft breweries.

Crafted using hops including Sabro and an experimental variety, HBC 586, Miller High Life/Lakefront The Juicy Life is a complex yet approachable 5.5% ABV Lager with bright mango, orange and pineapple notes that inform but never overpower.

“We wanted to make something a High Life drinker would love, and something the super hazy IPA craft lover is going love, too,” said Carol Walker, associate R&D brewer at the company’s pilot facility, Miller Valley Brewery. “I think we hit it on the head. It has that intense flavor from the hops, but it’s also incredibly drinkable.”
