There’s no avoiding it, fall is on the way. And brewers are addressing the changing seasons with smart beer offerings you’re gonna want have around.
Perennial Brewing (Sausalito, CA) – Patagonia Provisions has partnered with Portland, OR-based Hopworks Urban Brewery (HUB) on a brand new beer that’s another step towards transforming agricultural practices and supporting sustainable farming. Patagonia Provisions chose Hopworks Urban Brewery to create its series of beers made with Kernza (a perennial wheat ideally suited for organic and regenerative agriculture) due to the brewery’s strong commitment to organics and sustainable brewing practices.
Crafted with grains that won’t trash the world, Patagonia Provisions Long Root IPA is a 6.2% ABV West Coast-Style India Pale Ale with big citrus and evergreen tones, a malty aroma and a vibrant pop of carbonation at its backend.
Tiki Time (Paso Robles, CA) – Firestone Walker Brewing has a new Mind Haze IPA variation that’s available, along with two others, as part of the Mind Haze Tropical Hazy Mixed Pack.
Born of pure hops and freshly toasted coconut, Firestone Mind Haze Tiki Smash IPA is a 6.2% ABV Hazy India Pale Ale which was crafted with the original’s Azacca hops that are now joined by Motueka and Sabro cultivars to up the beer’s tropical character.
“We use an elaborate system to introduce freshly toasted coconut for a smooth, subtle extraction,” said Brewmaster Matt Brynildson. “The resulting beer showcases the special synergy of natural coconut with the tropical hop flavors of Mind Haze.”
A Citra Monster (Salt Lake City, UT) – Epic Brewing has a new addition to its Rotating Beer Series that’s all about Citra hops. Crafted with Citra hops and then even more of the same, Epic It’s Got Citra IPA is an 8% ABV India Pale Ale that even the brewery describes as “over-the-top; think Godzilla vs Kong.”
