Nothing says “summer’s ending” like Labor Day. And craft brewers are addressing the changing season with new offerings you’re gonna want to have around this weekend.

Lemon-Made (Baltimore, MD) – DuClaw Brewing has new mouth-puckering release that takes a stand, and it even come with its own Spotify playlist curated by the DuClaw team . Brimming with a mix of fresh raspberries and bright Meyer lemon notes, DuClaw Lemonade Stand By Me (Great name!) is a 7.1% ABV aggressively hopped Sour Ale that takes the ‘lemonade stand’ concept to a tart new level.

“There are a few ways to amplify a cool, tall glass of lemonade, but for this hopped sour, we decided to crush raspberries to capture a subtle sweetness that would pair nicely with citrus acidity,” said DuClaw Director of Brewery Operations Chris Wood. “This one definitely packs a nice punch that’s perfect for the last days of summer.”

A Chance Of Rain (Portland, OR) – Von Ebert Brewing has a new beer/wine hybrid that straddles both worlds smartly. Von Ebert Rain Shadows is an effervescent 8.4% ABV oak-aged mixed culture beer fermented with whole-cluster Syrah grapes.

“This is our first true beer/wine hybrid,” explained Jason Hansen, Lead Brewer & Blender, Von Ebert Glendoveer . “We used whole-cluster Syrah from Garnier Vineyards in Mosier, OR, lightly crushing the grapes and then adding them to mature mixed-culture beer for extended maturation. The result is a beautiful, dark garnet-colored beer with just enough body and funk to let you know you’re drinking beer and not wine.”

Haunted Drinking (Portland, ME) –  The award-winning Allagash Brewing is gearing up fall with the return of something “grave.” Inspired by their love of Halloween, pitch-black porters and the brewery’s House Beer, Allagash Haunted House is a 6.66% Cascadian Dark Ale with a coffee-flavored bitterness and hauntingly complex malty palate.
