Summer is ON and the beer biz is addressing things with an always interesting roster of beers that pair brilliantly with the season.
Super Burrito (Turlock, CA) – Dust Bowl Brewing Company just released, a bold new year-round addition to its Taco Truck family of Mexican-style lagers. Brewed to stay true to stays true to the approachable character beer fans expect from the Taco Truck lineup, Dust Bowl Super Burrito Double Mexican-Style Lager delivers familiar smoothness and crisp drinkability at an elevated octane of 8.1% ABV.
“We’ve had great success with our Taco Truck family of Mexican-style lagers,” says Don Oliver, Brewmaster at Dust Bowl Brewing Co. “Super Burrito has the body and drinkability of those smaller beers but comes in with more strength for those looking for a bigger option.”
Taking A Punch (Chicago, IL) – Goose Island Beer has a fun addition to their Beer Hug family that you’ll want to chase down, especially as we head into summer. Best buds with Tropical Beer Hug and Big Mango Beer Hug, Goose Island Big Juicy Beer Hug is a fruit-forward Imperial IPA with vibrant passion fruit, guava, orange, and tangerine aromatics, backed by subtle notes of sweet peach.

Big Juicy pours a translucent, golden-orange amber with a light, foamy white head. Despite the massive 9.9% ABV, the alcohol burn stays-hidden behind layers dense fruit notes that give way to a soft, malty, and slightly dry finish
Summer Timed (Montauk, NY) – Eastern Long Island’s Montauk Brewing has returned a popular warm-weather seasonal that’s uniquely crafted for easy, warm-weather day drinking and features a very subtle, light touch of fruit.
Light-to-medium bodied with brisk, effervescent carbonation that keeps it clean and highly crushable, Montauk Watermelon Session Ale is a 4.9% ABV American Blonde with a legacy that dates back to 2016. Expect a light bouquet of crisp grain, mild citrus, fresh grass, and a faint hint of melon. It leans dry and crackery up front. And the watermelon flavor is subtle and deliberately restrained.
