Summer is ON and the beer biz is addressing things with an always interesting roster of beers that pair brilliantly with the season.

Grass Attack (Huntington Beach, CA) – BJ’s Restaurant & Brewhouse is an award-winning brewing operation that runs 217 in-house breweries nationwide. Founded in 1978 they release over 10 rotating seasonal beers annually that complement their 11 signature anchor craft styles. And their latest seasonal release is a classic.

Brewed using a deft mix of Strata and Elani hops, provide layers of grapefruit, lime and pineapple, balanced by herbal and grassy undertones, BJ’s Grass Attack IPA is a 6.5% ABV Cold IPA that combines the bold, hop-forward character of an aggressive IPA with the crisp, smooth drinkability of a pale lager. Expect layers of grapefruit, lime and pineapple notes that are offset by herbal and grassy undertones that give this beer its name.

A 19.2 oz can of New Belgium Voodoo Ranger G-Force Supercharged Juicy IPA stands next to a full, frothy glass of the hazy golden-orange beer

An Aggressive Use Of Force (Fort Collins, CO) – New Belgium Brewing is responding to a growing segment of craft beer consumers demanding high-octane beers in BIG cans with the newest addition to its highly successful Voodoo Ranger IPA line. Say hello to Voodoo Ranger G-Force, a massive 11% ABV mango flavored Triple India Pale Ale that comes in an equally massive 19.2oz can.

“With the enormous response to Tropic Force and Juice Force, we asked ourselves…

‘How do you top a ten? You take it to eleven,” said Kiron Chakraborty, Marketing Director of Voodoo Ranger. “Even at 11% ABV, G‑Force tastes exactly like a Voodoo Ranger should: super juicy, full of flavor, and built for lift‑off.”

Have Your “Best Day” (California) – Non-Alcoholic beers have come a long way since your uncle used to order an O’Doul’s. And there’s a Northern California brewery, Best Day Brewing, which makes a great Kölsch that just happens to be non-alcoholic.

Brewed using a smart combination of Cologne and Pilsner malts and Hallertau Traditional hops, Best Day Kölsch is a crisp and perfectly balanced refresher that comes with a nice toasty malt character but won’t leave you buzzed.
