2 Days Of Beer, Music & Food (Minneapolis, MN) – It will be ON this weekend when Indeed Brewing returns Hullabaloo 2019, its annual beer festival, for two days (Sept 13-14) of SERIOUS beer, non-stop music and artisan eats. Located at the Indeed Brewing compound this year’s fest will feature direct-from-the-tank limited releases like Yamma Jamma Harvest Ale and Chai Velvet Amber Ale.
On The Big Screen – We’re big fans of both sci-fi and horror movies and this weekend’s movie pick combines what’s best about both genres. Stocked with solid performances, Freaks tells the story of 7-year-old Chloe, a child who is shut away in her father’s house to protect her from an outside world now inhabited by strange beings who may (or may not have) overtaken the world.
TV Time & Streaming – And while we’re on the subject of sci-fi/horror hybrids there’s always Charlie Brooker’s mind-blowing anthology series which is now in its sixth season on Netflix. Sharp, suspenseful, satirical stand-alone tales that explore techno-paranoia, Black Mirror is a contemporary reworking of “The Twilight Zone” with stories that tap into the collective unease about the modern world.
Fall Drinking 2019 – Hudson Valley Style (Beacon, NY) – Wine’s far from the only thing that the Hudson Valley is known for nowadays…Craft beer is big up that way. The 7th annual Hudson River Craft Beer Festival returns to Riverfront Park this Saturday September 14th and it might well be the region’s best craft beer festival yet. Sample more than 180 releases from New York State’s best breweries paired with live music, delicious artisan food and spectacular Hudson River views. Not to miss!
