Nothing says “summer’s over” like Labor Day’s passing. And craft brewers are addressing the changing season with new offerings you’re gonna want to chase down this weekend.

Radlers In The House (Venice, CA) – For the longest time House Beer did one thing, they brewed an excellent premium craft lager. But now they’ve extended their range to include four different types of Radlers.

Basically Radlers are lagers mixed with fruit juices and its history is wild..

The term Radler originates with a drink called Radlermass (literally “cyclist liter”) that was originally created by an Innkeeper, just outside Munich. During the great cycling boom of the Roaring Twenties, the innkeeper created a bicycle trail from Munich, through the woods, which led directly to his drinking establishment. On a beautiful June day in 1922, a reported “13,000 cyclists” crashed his party and running out of beer, he blended it 50/50 with a lemon soda he could never seem to get rid of, and the rest is history.

And now SoCal’s House Beer has its own line of 3.2% ABV premium Radlers. House Beer Radlers come in four different flavors (grapefruit, mango salted lime and tropical) and like their trademark House Lager, they’re all well worth your time.

Original Drinking (Edinburgh, Scotland) – Innis & Gunn, the second largest brewer in Scotland behind BrewDog, has returned its original beer to the US with new packaging and a clear new bottle to better showcase its rich color.

The beer that launched the UK brewery back in 2002, Innis & Gunn The Original is a 6.6% ABV single-malt cask matured Golden Ale, brimming with rich vanilla, toffee and marmalade notes, hints of oak, and an understated bitterness.

West Coasting (Venice, CA) – The Propagator, Firestone Walker’s experimental small-batch brewing facility just south of LA has a new lager that pays homage to the brewery’s Venice neighborhood and its SoCal roots. Firestone Welcome to LA is a 5.4% ABV West Coast (read: hoppy) Golden Lager that lays on the tongue like a lager but thinks like an IPA.
