Craft beer’s most important industry gathering, the Craft Brewers Conference & BrewExpo America® will be making its way to Minnesota this spring. And If you’re in the craft beer biz, have friends in the industry, or hope to work in it yourself one day, you need to be there.
Presented by the Brewers Association, the Craft Brewers Conference (CBC) is the world’s largest beer and brewing event and it normally attracts thousands of brewing professionals and some of the biggest names in the biz.
The CBC is held in different cities annually and next spring (May 2-5) it will be touching down for the first time in Minneapolis, Minnesota for four days of enlightening industry talk and SERIOUS fun.

CBC 2022 will also present BrewExpo America, the nation’s leading trade show for craft brewers featuring more than 500 exhibitors… and a great opportunity for professionals to explore the newest products and services that the industry has to offer.
First launched in Boulder Colorado in 1996, the Craft Brewers Conference has grown massively in scope and scale…But due to the pandemic it went virtual in 2020 and returned to Denver in a scaled back form in 2021.
The 39th annual CBC will showcase a vast array of brewing seminars and industry voices, across eight different educational tracks ranging from brewery operations to sustainability and government affairs.
CBC 2020 will also be home to the World Beer Cup, often referred to as “the Olympics of Beer.”
Developed in 1996 to celebrate the art and science of brewing, the World Beer Cup continues to generate global awareness about different beer styles and flavor profiles while promoting international brewing excellence.
The 2020 World Beer Cup was not held due to the pandemic and will return in 2022 with more than 11,000 entries anticipated. Competition winners will be announced in an awards ceremony in Minneapolis on May 5.
This year’s competition is expected to be unforgiving, as craft brewing continues to attract an even broader universe around the globe.
With Minneapolis, MN, (home to the legendary musician Prince and great craft breweries like Surly, Indeed Brewing and Dangerous Man), hosting CBC 2022, this year’s Craft Brewers Conference promises to be one for the books.
