New Beer Supporting Pennsylvania Veterans Debuts Over Memorial Day Weekend

|May 27th, 2019|

Memorial Day is the one day of the year when America stops to remember its fallen men and women who heroically served in our Armed Forces.

And 22 Pennsylvania craft breweries have banded together to help veterans who are in need.

Here’s what we know…

In an effort to support the Pennsylvania Veterans Foundation who provide much-needed assistance to the states’ veterans and their families, 22 breweries in Pennsylvania joined forces to produce a special beer that was “brewed by Pennsylvania Veterans in support of Pennsylvania Veterans.”

And a portion of the proceeds from this special limited release will help that organization according to Breweries in Pennsylvania.

“Hurry Up And Wait” is an 8.0% ABV Double IPA brewed with 2400 lbs. of Deer Creek Malthouse Keystone Pale, 440lbs of Pale Oat Malt and 220lbs Pale Triticale. The hops used in the special IPA was a Yakima Veteran blend; a medley of hops that were hand-selected by a group of veteran-owned breweries from across the USA.

The 2019 Pennsylvania Veterans Beer is available on-tap now at all of these fine brewery taprooms…And what better time than on Memorial Day to raise a glass?

Thanks to all our veterans and have a great Memorial Day!
