Winter’s coming and American craft brewers are addressing the changing season with more exciting offerings you’re gonna want have around.
All Hail Agganis (Lynn, MA) – Bent Water Brewing has a new limited release that was named after Aristotle George ‘Harry’ Agganis, a former Red Sox player and Boston University collegiate athlete who was born and raised in the brewery’s hometown. Bent Water Agganis is a 5.5% ABV Hazy IPA with hoppy notes of red berries, pine, and mango.
“A lot of people hear the name ‘Agganis’ and think of the arena, but the man it was named for has a great story,” says Robin Leopoldo, Communications Director at Bent Water Brewing. “He was a first-generation Greek American, born and raised in Lynn.”
Better Red Than Dead (Richmond, CA) – East Brother Beer Co. is a San Francisco Bay area brewery which was founded by two friends and excels at brewing classic styles. And they brew a year-round that we wish more craft brewers would address. A variation of a once widely brewed European beer style that is bursting with earthy brown sugar and light hop aromatics, East Brother Red Lager is a 4.6% ABV Vienna-Style Amber with a biscuity malt character that lays easily on the tongue.
Electrifying (Frederick, MD) – Flying Dog Brewery has a new IPA that melds two popular indie Pale Ale styles. Bursting with an alternating current of juicy hops and tropical fruit notes, Flying Dog Hop Electric Hazy IPA is an electrifying 6.8% ABV India Pale Ale that’s described by the brewery as more of a mix of traditional IPA and New England IPA flavor profiles.
Thankful Brewing (Chico, CA) – Sierra Nevada Brewing crafts a tasty year-round that helps fund nonprofits standing up for social equality, economic well-being, and environmental protection and has already committed $1M in donations. Sierra Nevada Dankful IPA is a 7.4% ABV West Coast India Pale Ale that is generously hopped with Columbus, Chinook, Ekuanot, Idaho 7, Mosaic, Nelson Sauvin and Zappa hops.
