The Banff Craft Beer Festival (Alberta) – Described as the “world’s most beautiful beer festival” the 2018 Banff Craft Beer Festival returns to the heart of the Canadian Rockies (Nov 22-24) and things are already rocking. Produced by the Alberta Beer Festivals Group, this spectacular outing is an invitation to enjoy hand-crafted Alberta artisan beer (and spirits) against the backdrop of the mighty Rocky Mountains, surrounded by pristine wilderness and fresh glacial waters. Trust us…it doesn’t get much better than this.

On The Big Screen – The long-running Rocky franchise was given fresh new legs when Creed debuted to critical raves and several Academy Awards back in 2015. Michael B. Jordan and Sylvester Stallone reprise their roles (struggling young boxer and aging mentor) in Creed II, a movie that smartly adheres to its winning formula and doesn’t want for heart.

TV Time & Streaming – Although Amazon Prime’s steaming service still pales in comparison to Netflix, they’ve recently debuted an intriguing new series that was directed by Mr. Robot’s Sam Email that shows promise. Inspired by a popular podcast of the same name, Homecoming stars Julia Roberts as a caseworker at a private facility with government ties that supposedly helps soldiers transition back to civilian life….or not. Dark stuff.

Celebrate Black Beer Friday All Weekend (USA) – This post-Thanksgiving weekend is all about drinking deep and drinking dark, because the nation is celebrating “Black Beer Friday” all weekend and you need to do your part.
