Summer’s basically over and fall more here, than not – and we’ve all the right beers for the season. We’ve also some interesting new offerings from Modern Times and The Bronx Brewery that you’ll want to get your sweaty little hands on.
Hand Job (San Diego, CA) – Modern Times Beer has a new IPA addition to their Special Release Can Series that we’re pretty juiced about. Pumped to the gills on Chinook, Simcoe, Mosaic and Equinox hops Modern Times Magic Hand is a citrusy explosion of dankness that gets the job done.
Canned! (Bronx, NY) – The Bronx Brewery has begun canning two of their year-round IPAs and they’re both favorites of ours. Slow Your Roll is the brewery’s easy drinking 4.6% ABV India Pale Ale with loads of tropical hops & subtle tart finish. And their 7.6% ABV No Resolutions, is a hophead’s delight – an IPA with BIG hop aromas & unapologetic bitterness for those reckless nights on the town.
A Serious Beer Exposed! (Lexington, VA) – Devils Backbone has just announced a new Trailblazer Series release scheduled to come out in October. Pouring deep brown with a tinge of ruby, Devils Backbone Kilt Flasher is a robust 8% ABV American take on the Scotch Ale tradition.
Idaho 7 (Manhattan, KS) – Tallgrass Brewing has a new Single Hop Series release coming to cans in October. Bursting with tropical fruit and citrusy flavors, notes of pine and hints of black tea, Idaho 7 IPA is a 6.6% ABV India Pale Ale that takes its name from the lone hop it was brewed with.
A Newbie From The Guinness Brewers Project (Dublin, Ireland) – A Guinness cult favorite, which was first brewed for the Belgian city of Antwerp in 1944, is jumping the pond and making its way to the states for a limited time. With Its intense roasted malt, smoked wood, raisin and licorice notes Guinness Antwerpen Stout is rare opportunity for American beer lovers to enjoy an 8% ABV St. James’s Gate export that its own brewers still line up for.
