New Belgium Returns It’s Award-Winning Sour (Fort Collins, CO) – New Belgium, who have been making sour beers for twenty years now, have released this year’s version of one of their most lauded beers. New Belgium’s 2017 La Folie is a 7% blended Sour Ale, rich with green apple, deep cherry, dark chocolate, and plum skin notes.
Braxton Revamps Their Core Lineup (Covington, KY) – Braxton Brewing is revamping their core lineup and saying goodbye to their Crank Shaft IPA. Replacing it is Braxton Revamp IPA, a lighter-bodied and tropically fruit-forward 6.5% India Pale Ale that will now be available all year-round.
Hitting The Beach (Miami, FL) – Concrete Beach Brewing will soon be kicking off Miami Gras, a block party they’re throwing on March the 4th that celebrates Miami, Mardi Gras and Carnaval cultures – and they’re also releasing a beer with the same name. Concrete Beach Miami Gras is a 7.2% ABV French-style Saison brewed with juniper berries and honey.
A Nightmare To Be Savored (Denver, CO) – The Crooked Stave Artisan Beer Project just released a much anticipated offering that many a beer pilgrim will be travelling for. Part of their 750ml cork and cage specialty line up, Crooked Stave Nightmare on Brett Raspberry is a massive 9.6% dark Sour Ale that’s been aged in Leopold Whiskey Barrels with raspberries. Yessssssssssssssss!
Iridescent (Bloomington, IN) – Upland Brewing recently released a new wild ale that dazzles as much as it surprises. Flush with fresh apricot and ginger aromas, Upland Iridescent is a tart and tropical 6% wine barrel-aged Sour Ale with a sparkling golden color.
