September is almost over. And craft brewers are addressing fall’s inevitable arrival with exciting new offerings you’re gonna want to chase down.
More Reasons To Speed (San Diego, CA) – AleSmith Brewing has released its third-quarter Speedway Stout variation and as usual it’s impeccably crafted and brewed to perfection. Taking its lead from the flavors and tones of Mexico, Speedway Stout Variant #3: Mexican Dark Chocolate, Sea Salt and Mexican Coffee is a 12% ABV “take” on its classic stout, a beer already renowned for its rich chocolate and roasted malts reinforced by subtle notes of toffee and caramel.
“For this special edition of our signature imperial stout, we were inspired to feature ingredients from our neighbors to the south,” says Ryan Crisp, Head Brewer and Director of Brewery Operations. “We used a trio of Mexican dark chocolate, sea salt and Mexican coffee to give the beer notes of cacao and dark fruit, plus a subtle touch of cinnamon and roasty earthiness.”
112 Years Of Brewing (Shiner, TX) – The Spoetzl Brewery, home to the legendary Shiner Bock, is celebrating its more than a century of brewing with a new release that’s now available nationwide. Inspired by the simple ingredients Shiner’s brewers used the year the brewery was founded, Shiner 1909 is 4.5% ABV small-batch lager crafted with Heritage 2-row barley, Noble hops, Shiner’s proprietary lager yeast and water from the same artesian well the founders discovered over a century ago.
“For 112 years, Shiner has brewed flavorful, refreshing and sessionable beers, becoming a favorite not only of Texans but of beer lovers nationwide,” says Matt Pechman, Spoetzl Brewing’s Head of Marketing. “With this new release, we’re paying respect to our past while toasting to the future, and we’re making it available year-round so we’ll all be able to celebrate our birthday every day of the year.”
Hey Pumpkin! (Arvada, CO) – Colorado’s award-winning Odyssey Beerwerks is celebrating fall with the return of a special seasonal that has one of the longest beer names we’ve ever run into. Odyssey Beerwerks Fluffy Pumpkin Toasted Marshmallow Pumpkin Porter is a 6% ABV limited release that is crafted with roasted pumpkin, seasonal spices, vanilla, and marshmallow.
