February is ON and American craft brewers are addressing things with exciting new beers you’re gonna want to have around.

Cherry Oh! (Grand Rapids, MI) – Founders Brewing has a new addition to its popular KBS Coffee Stout line that you need to chase down. Taking this bourbon barrel-aged concept to a new level, Founders KBS Chocolate Cherry is an 11.6% ABV Imperial Coffee Stout with a rich chocolate and coffee base that is heightened and brightened by sweet cherry juice.

“This variant is inspired by cherry cordials, with both sweetness and tartness from the cherries balanced against layers of rich chocolate,” Founders Brewing Company Brewmaster Jeremy Kosmicki said. “These flavors are really complimentary to the coffee and bourbon notes that you’d expect from KBS, creating a fun new twist on a classic.”

, Weekend Beer: Classic German Wheat Ales And Chocolate Cherry StoutsDreaming Big (Boulder, CO) – After months of innovation and taproom trials, Avery Brewing, the first brewery to package an “India Pale Ale” in Colorado almost thirty years ago, is launching the Hop Freaks Exploration Series – a new line of IPAs brewed by hop freaks for hop freaks. One of two new India Pale Ales to be released in the new series, Avery Nomadic Dreamer is a deeply hazy 6.7% ABV New England-Style IPA with layers of juicy hop flavor and a tranquil finish.

“Back when we developed Avery IPA in 1996, the India Pale Ale beer style was typically too bitter for many craft beer lovers,” said Adam Avery, Founder of Avery Brewing Company. “Using our new pilot system, we were able to experiment with new styles, unique hops, different yeast strains, and innovative brewing techniques to develop IPAs that are unlike any that we’ve brewed before.”

A Classic (White Plains, NY) – We only cover imported beers that we think can hold their own up against America’s best craft beers, and Paulaner USA imports an iconic Wheat Beer that many consider a masterpiece. The #1 wheat beer in Germany for good reason, Paulaner Hefe-Weizen is a 5.5% ABV Witbier that, we promise you, will not disappoint.

In developing this beer, the Paulaner brewmasters have perfected a unique technique with “yeast suspension,” resulting in a uniform, slightly cloudy appearance, consistent quality, and perfect taste.
