Voice Actors Record Coors Light Beer Ad In Frigid Ice Bath

To celebrate Coors Light’s iconic cold activated cans and bottles, the brand’s latest radio campaign features voice actors who recorded the ad in an ice plunge. Hey it’s a paycheck and the ad’s fun.

Here’s the deal…

On April 2, Coors Light announced its latest radio campaign, designed To celebrate Coors Light’s iconic cold activated cans and bottles, (you know, when the beer’s chilled, the mountains on its cans and bottles turn blue).

And to showcase that point, Coors Light hired three prominent voice actors to read the beer ad in an ice cold tank that was chilled down to a brutal 42 degrees. The voice actors powered through the frigid temperatures to deliver an ad that takes the brand’s message to new heights (or perhaps a new low?).

And here’s the launch spot they built around the three “Cold Activated Announcers” which was no doubt more fun for us to watch than it was for the three of them to endure…And of course no ad shoot is finished without enjoying a “chilled” Coors Light post-production, so there’s that…

“There’s no question that Coors Light is best enjoyed chilled, and there’s no better feeling than watching the mountains turn blue when your beer reaches the perfect temperature,” said Marcelo Pascoa, VP of Marketing for the Coors Family of Brands….

“We’re taking it up a notch by making our radio ads just as refreshing as our beer. It’s hard to make something sound mountain cold purely through sound, so we had our announcers take the plunge and do it themselves.”

The campaign was created in partnership with alma. And the ad is now live across national audio streaming platforms.
