Stockholm’s Old Town redies itself for Cigar City launch
Tampa, Florida-based Cigar City has been on a roll of late. Not only are they showing 70% YTD, they’ve entered into its first full-time international partnership in nearly eight years and are taking their award-winning beers to Sweden and Scandinavia.
Here’s the deal…
Partnering with Great Brands AB of Stockholm, Cigar City Brewing will bring their distinctive portfolio of ales to one of Europe’s most vital beer regions.
Beginning this month, Cigar City will be following a path fist paved by CANarchy portfolio-mates Oskar Blues Brewery in 2016 when they entered into a similar distribution pact with Great Brands, which allowed them the significant presence they have in Scandinavia today.
Cigar City’s new partnership with the highly regarded private importer and distributor, will afford beer lovers in Sweden, Finland and Norway access to unique roster of Tampa brews for the first time, and availability to the brewery’s popular flagships Jai Alai IPA and Guayabera Citra Pale Ale all year-round.
Neil Callaghan Cigar City’s El Lector (whatever that title means) was clearly over-the-top about brewery’s new Scandinavian opportunity…

Several Cigar City launch events are scheduled to coincide with the 2018 Stockholm Beer and Whiskey Festival taking place on 27-29 September & 4-6 October 2018. Cigar City Brewing and CANarchy representatives (the life of any party) will be on hand throughout the week to spread the Cigar City word throughout Stockholm and generally have a good time that they can expense.
