Fat Tire’s new bottle and can designs feature a BOLD blue-on-red graphic look that celebrates many of the original label’s classic elements and celebrates the brewery’s Colorado roots. Phrases like “independent” and “employee-owned” are highlighted within a stylized medallion along with the brewery’s famed red cruiser bike. And the addition of “Est. Colorado, U.S.A. 1991” serves to remind beer drinkers of New Belgium’s proud mountain origins.

Fat Tire Amber Ale first appeared as an award-winning Colorado homebrew named in honor of a bicycling trip through Belgium. And it fast became a favorite with climbers, cyclists, outdoor adventurers and beer pilgrims traveling throughout the west.

Consumed by one in five Americans chloramines kill household fish, amphibians, and other aquatic creatures, impact production processes at bakeries and breweries, and can’t be used in kidney dialysis machines. But in spite of all that the chemical is still considered to be a safe and effective drinking water disinfectant by the EPA.
