So many beers- So little time… Fall is giving way to winter and with that comes the beers of the season – and we’ve a number of interesting new releases that you’ll want to chase down…Plus we’ve some interesting new offering from Cigar City and 3 Floyds that sounds serious as well.

Florida Man Loses Bet (Tampa, FL) – Cigar City has made good on the bet they made with 3 Floyds over the outcome of the Stanley Cup Finals. The Chicago Blackhawks defeated the Tampa Bay Lightning in six games which led to this collaboration. Cigar City/3 Floyds Florida Man Loses Bet is described as an 8.5% Rye American Ale and it sounds serious.

Evil Twin meets Barbarian (Lima, Peru) – On a sunny afternoon, during the recent (and totally amazing) Mistura Festival, Peruvian Ignacio Schwalb of Barbarian Brewery met Danish Jeppe Jarnit-Bjergsø of Evil Twin Brewing and they recklessly decided to brew the strongest beer in Peru. From this honorable goal, the Crazy Llama Barley Wine was born. The 11.7% Barleywine includes honey from the rainforest, muña (a Peruvian mountain black mint) and a bunch of dry hops giving it a rich copper color and sweet dry flavor. Available only in Peru this super limited edition (only 600 bottles) makes this collaboration “a must get beer” of epic proportions.

More Than Just Another IPA (Escondido, CA) – Stone has finally released the long-rumored collaboration that they did with St Louis-based 4 Hands Brewing and Yakima, Washington’s Bale Breaker. Sorry Not Sorry is the beloved love child of this three-way union, an insanely hop-forward 9.3% Imperial IPA brewed with experimental hops and peaches. 

Tyrannical (Asheville, NC) – Wicked Weed has doubled down on the promise of Tyranny their popular Red India Pale Ale with their latest release. Upping the ante considerably, Wicked Weed’s Tyrant is an 8.5% Double Red India Pale Ale that people are raving about!

A 20 Year Storm (Baltimore, MD) – Heavy Seas  will soon be releasing a special anniversary beer that sounds promising. Heavy Seas20 Year Storm is a very limited edition barrel-aged Imperial ESB with an earthy hop nose
