With the  4th now behind us mid-summer is ON! And American craft brewers are addressing the warmer weather with refreshing new beer offerings you’re gonna want to have around.

Sun Up (Portland, OR) –  Widmer Brothers has launched the perfect beer for Pacific Northwestern beer lovers who long for the bright sun in the rainy season, yet crave the refreshing rain in the summer.

A respite from the heat in the hot summer months, and a bright, sunny flavor during the gray months. Widmer Brothers Hefe SunLife, is a citrus-forward, 4% ABV Wheat Ale that was built on all the best attributes of its iconic flagship Hefeweizen but fit into a refreshing 95-calorie light craft beer. The beer packs a ton of flavor into its 12-ounce slim can, and comes in at 3.5 grams of carbohydrates, 95 calories, and no added sugar.

“There’s a hilarious Portlandia sketch where there is a small ray of sun shining in the winter and all the Portlanders come out to bask in the tiny sliver of sunlight,” said Widmer Brothers Brand Manager Jake Neilson. “This beer is inspired by that vibe.”

, New Wheat Ales And Summer SeasonalsHappy Birthday! (Portland, OR) –  Hopworks Urban Brewery (HUB), the first B Corp brewery in the Pacific Northwest, has returned the latest variation of a beer that was brewed in honor of the birthday of HUB founders Christian and Brandie Ettinger’s daughter.

Light and bright like the summer sun, HUB Evelyn Sunshine IPA is a 7% ABV India Pale Ale with orange citrus and ripe peach notes and deep, northwest dankness.

“14 years ago, Evelyn Sunshine Ettinger came into our lives with rays so bright we tucked them into her middle name,’ said Christian Ettinger, Hopworks Founder & Brewmaster. “So you brew 600 gallons of over-hopped IPA to commemorate such a glorious occasion! This 14th version clocks in at 7.0% ABV with a light body that allows the ultraviolet hop spectrum to pass through! She’s classic and new world all at the same time. She and we hope you enjoy!”

Proudly Local (Yakima, WA) – Bale Breaker Brewing Company, a family-owned brewery located in the beautiful Yakima Valley, has a new addition to its IPA Rotator Series, a collection of hop-packed beers, each representing a unique characteristic of life in hop country. Named after the town where Bale Breaker’s 30-barrel brewhouse stands, Moxee Made IPA is a 6.2% ABV India Pale Ale that is brewed with locally sourced hops and barley.
