Summer is ON and American craft brewers are addressing things with an ever-evolving roster of new beers you’ll want to chase down.
Prost! (White Plains, NY) – We only cover imported beers that we think can hold their own up against America’s best craft beers, and Paulaner USA imports a lager that’s undeniably world class. Credited for being one of the best German beers in the world , Paulaner Münchner Lager is a 4.9% ABV Bavarian original that’s the perfect balance of malty character and the light bitterness of hops
In developing this beer, the Paulaner brewmasters have perfected a unique technique with “yeast suspension,” resulting in a uniform, slightly cloudy appearance, consistent quality, and perfect taste.
Earthbound (Paso Robles, CA) – Firestone Walker Brewing celebrated Earth Day this year, with a lager that’s made using all locally grown and sustainably made ingredients. Crisp, floral, and refreshing, Firestone Sunglider is a 5% ABV Helles-Style lager that honors the brewery’s commitment to both flavor and sustainability.

And Sunglider is all about keeping things local.
Firestone Walker brewed Sunglider with Atlas malt, a historic six-row barley grown just down the road in Paso Robles.. The grain is floor-malted by Admiral Maltings in Alameda, preserving old-school methods and minimizing environmental impact. For hops, the brewery looked north to Oregon’s Goschie Farms for its Willamette and Hallertau Tradition hops .
Pace Yourself (San Diego, CA) – AleSmith Brewing has a new addition to its year-round portfolio that brilliantly defines what they do best. Inspired by the brewery’s legendary Speedway Stout. but in a lighter, more sessionable format AleSmith Pace Car is a smooth and uber-creamy 6% ABV Nitro Coffee Stout with rich and seductive expresso and chocolate tones, complemented by a subtle roasted barley and toffee character.

“Pace Car is inspired by our approach to the quality coffee and craftsmanship in Speedway Stout, but built to be more approachable at 6%,” Ryan Crisp, Vice President of Operations, AleSmith Brewing said. “We have received many requests for a lower ABV stout you can enjoy multiple pints of, and we’re excited to bring it to life in 2026. With Pace Car, you get light roast, chocolate and subtle toffee notes, with fresh coffee and a smooth, creamy nitro pour on draft and in cans.”
Packaged in 16oz 4-pack cans and draft, AleSmith Pace Car Nitro is now available at the brewery’s taproom as well as online and at many retail outlets in California, Pennsylvania, Ohio, Minnesota, Texas, Illinois, Washington, Oregon, Arizona, Virginia and Washington DC.
