Founders Spells Doom (Grand Rapids, MI) – Founders will soon be unleashing the latest addition to their vaunted Barrel-Aged Series and we’ve gotta admit, it sounds ominous. Last released as part of their Backstage Series of beers back in 2013, Founders Doom is a massive Imperial IPA that’s been aged to perfection in specially curated bourbon barrels.

Brewery’s Overhead Gets Canned (Kihei, Hawaii) – Recklessness be damned, Maui Brewing recently “double-downed” and debuted a year-round favorite in cans. Maui Double Overhead is an 8.5% ABV Imperial India Pale Ale that’s tethered to a study malt backbone.

Full Sail Exits, No Really (Hood River, OR) – Full Sail Brewing has just canned a beautiful blonde. Inspired by a love of the region and an implacable sense of place, Full Sail Exit 63 is a light and refreshing 5% Blonde Ale that’s brewed with glacier-fed waters from the slopes of Mt. Hood, and Northwest-grown barley and hops.

Glasses Down, Horns High!(Escondido, CA) – Stone Brewing recently unveiled the second riff in an ongoing heavy metal collaboration series and this time they’re working with the Maine Beer Company. Maine / Stone DaySlayer India Pale Lager is that 7.5% ABV collaboration lager that’s ridiculously hopped and brutally malted.

Devilish (Asheville, NC) – Wicked Weed has just unchained something aged and demonic.  Devilishly wood-toned, slightly sweet and nutty, Wicked Weed Devilwood is a 10% ABV Belgian-style Golden Ale that’s been unrepentantly aged in Kentucky bourbon barrels.
