These are no longer normal times…So why drink something normal especially in 2021?

Local And Lo-Cal (Baltimore, MD) – Heavy Seas Beer has a new limited release, for those of us who maybe want to shed little heft gained while sheltering-in-place but are unwilling to sacrifice big taste. Refreshingly juicy and sessionable, Heavy Seas Drink Lo-Cal is a 4% ABV India Pale Ale with only 95 calories and only 4 carbs.

“Our brewing team loves a challenge, and this was quite a complicated beer to develop,” Heavy Seas Brewmaster Christopher Leonard explained. We began by employing a novel brewing techniques we had perfected during the research and development of Hazy Cannon  And along with dynamic, aromatic Citra, Sabro, and Simcoe Cryo hops, we used a large percentage of flaked oats and torrified wheat with just a bit of fresh key lime juice.

Idle Hands Gets Heavy (Malden, MA) – Idle Hands, named Boston’s Best Brewery by Boston Magazine in 2020, has long offered a diverse range of craft beers. What they’ve never attempted is a Wee Heavy, a malt-forward style that dates back to 18th century Scotland…that is, until now. Named after the famous cannon that protects Edinburgh castle, Idle Hands Mons Meg is a 7.3 % ABV Scotch Style Ale bursting with chewy caramel and toffee notes and deep, brown bread flavors.

““We’ve been thinking about brewing a Scotch Ale for a long time,” said Chris Tkach, owner, Idle Hands.  “This will be a great beer for those wild weeks in March where temperatures literally range from 30 to 60 on any given day — and will be a welcome find in your fridge if snow shows up in the forecast again.”

A Classic Munich Wheat Bier (White Plains, NY) – We only cover imported beers that we think can hold their own up against America’s best craft beers, and Paulaner USA has one that’s world class. Boldly unfiltered and available now in gracious 16.9oz cans, Paulaner Hefe-Weizen is a 5.5% ABV Munich Wheat Ale with a subtle banana and mango nose and a sweet meets bitter finish. And it’s the #1 Hefeweizen in Germany for a good reason.
