For generations, baseball and a cold beer have gone hand in hand—and Anheuser-Busch hopes that beer has been Budweiser. Now, as the brand celebrates its 150th anniversary in 2026 (the same year the United States marks its 250th birthday), Budweiser is tapping into its long-standing relationship with Major League Baseball with a season full of fan-focused promotions and throwback touches.
One of Budweiser’s biggest initiatives is the new Bud 150 Club, a limited membership program designed to bring die-hard fans closer to the game.
As part of this recently announced program, Budweiser plans to award 150 fans with special prepaid Mastercards loaded with “beer money” to spend on Budweiser during the season. Club members will also have chances to score tickets to some of baseball’s biggest events, including the All-Star Game, the Field of Dreams game, and the World Series. To get in on the action, baseball and beer fans need to tap into Budweiser’s social media channels for a chance to land one of these coveted cards.
Another returning fan favorite is Budweiser’s special limited-edition MLB team cans, which are hitting shelves again this year ahead of Opening Day.
This year’s designs lean into a retro look, pairing Budweiser’s commemorative 150th-anniversary insignia with each team’s wordmark on the front. The back of the cans features vintage-style illustrations that nod to classic team logos, colors, and uniforms.
Budweiser is also tapping some legendary names from the game’s past to help celebrate the season. Former stars Ken Griffey Jr., Randy Johnson, and Mike Piazza will be partnering with Budweiser on special content and appearances tied to various MLB events throughout the year.
The campaign follows Budweiser’s recent extension of its partnership with Major League Baseball, which now runs through 2032.
With fan promotions, retro packaging, and player collaborations, Budweiser is all about baseball this year. And if Budweiser has its way, fans will continue doing what they’ve been doing at ballparks for generations: raising a cold one when the first pitch is thrown.
