Spring is fast giving way to summer…And American brewers everywhere are addressing things with a variety of interesting beers that you might want to chase down.

Sam’s Summer Ale Gets Re Reformulated (Boston, MA) – The brewers at Samuel Adams have announced their first recipe change in twenty-three years. Amping things up with additions of pureed oranges, limes and lemons to its classic profile, Samuel Adams Summer Ale is a 5.3% ABV citrusy Wheat Ale that’s a lighter and brighter take on the Boston Beer classic.

Need Proof? (Tallahassee, FL) – Proof Brewing has a new addition to its year-round portfolio that does Munich proud. A love letter to the classic German brewing tradition, Proof Lager is a 5% ABV crisp and clean refresher with a light, malty sweetness and just a hint of German noble hop aroma.

Taking A wild Leap Forward (LaGrange, GA) – Over the last two years, Wild Leap Brewing has introduced a number of limited-release stouts, porters and IPAs, but they’ve yet to craft something in the sour realm until now. Completely unlike anything Wild Leap has brewed to date, Vacanza Raspberry Gose is a 5.5% ABV Gose-style Ale that is brewed with over 500 pounds of fresh raspberries per batch.
