Winter has arrived and the holidays nearing. And American craft brewers are addressing the season with a full slate of dark wonders you’re gonna want have around.

Cape May Made (Cape May, NJ) – With cold weather having finally descended on the legendary beach town, Cape May Brewing is celebrating the season with the final beer in its On the Way to Cape May Anniversary Series, which it brewed with fellow Jersey Shore staple The Original Fudge Kitchen.

Crafted with actual pieces of fudge from the iconic Fudge Kitchen and available on draft and in 16-ounce cans starting Friday, December 17th in the Cape May Brewery Tasting Room, On the Way to Cape May No. 010: Chocolate Fudge Stout is a 9% ABV limited release with bold chocolate notes and hints of toasted oak and vanilla.

“The owners of The Original Fudge Kitchen are actually my good friends and neighbors here in Cape May,” says Cape May Brewing Company CEO Ryan Krill. “They’re wonderful people, and we’ve wanted to make a beer together for quite some time. This year was the perfect time for us to create something special and have fun making beer together.”

Nitro Greetings (Paso Robles, CA) – Firestone Walker Brewing has introduced a new winter seasonal that pairs perfectly with the winter holidays. Toned by dark-roasted specialty malts with hints of caramel and chocolate, Firestone Cinnamon Dolce Nitro Stout is a 6% ABV holiday release which was brewed with Saigon cinnamon sticks and premium Madagascar vanilla beans, then infused with nitrogen for a super-creamy mouthfeel.

“Every year, we get to play around with creating a seasonal stout, and this time we went in an entirely new direction inspired by locally sourced vanilla beans,” said Brewmaster Matt Brynildson “I think we landed on a really unique stout. You get a true nitro experience straight out of the can. It fits the season perfectly.”

Banned In Seven States (Booneville, CA) – The holidays are approaching and Anderson Valley Brewing is celebrating things with something special that was aged to perfection for over 12 months. With a massive alcohol count that actually  makes it illegal in seven states, Anderson Valley Huge Arker is a smooth and surprisingly approachable 15.5% ABV Bourbon Barrel Imperial Stout with nuanced layers of honey, molasses and a rich dark chocolate finish.
