One of the good things about the hate mail that we sometimes get – is that it lets us know that you’re out there and invested in what we do daily. You see, we approach craft beer a little differently here at ACB, so here are some things that we “do” and “don’t do.”
We’re Cheerleaders For The Industry
We’re advocates for capitalism here at ACB and passionate about the craft beer business. We hope for everyone to become successful and brew wonderful beer.
We’re Craft Beer Fans- Not Judges
We’re beer fans, not beer cicerones here at ACB and we‘d never presume that we have the right to tell you what beer is the best. Everyone’s different and every experience unique. THE BEST is a personal call as far as we’re concerned – not an absolute.
We Can Be Politically Incorrect
We don’t think much of the term “politically correct”. We find its usage more than vaguely “Orwellian” and see it as no more than a way to avoid the truth. And telling the truth (as we see it) is important to us at American Craft Beer – even when it’s not popular and generates those complaints we mentioned earlier.
We Write About The Craft Beer Biz For The Informed Fan
We cover craft beer news among other things here at ACB and although we are read daily by many friends and professionals who work in the industry, we primarily write for the informed craft beer fan. Most of you who read us regularly, already know who Sam Calagione, Greg Koch and Vinnie Cilurzo are – and you sure don’t need their backstory spelled out all the time. You also don’t need to have ABV explained to you.
Craft Beer’s Not The Only Thing That We Write About
Craft beer talk 24/7 can sometimes be a buzzkill– so we also take on entertainment news and lifestyle here at ACB. Beer is very much a part of today’s pop-cultural landscape – which also includes things like music, travel, nightlife and film – or anything else that people like to talk about when they’re out on the town, drinking with friends.
We Don’t Cover Ciders
They’re just not beer to us…We don’t do much with beer pong either.
