 BrewDog DogHouse – Canal Winchester, Ohio

Any discussion of American beercation hotels, needs to start 20 minutes outside of Columbus, at BrewDog’s Doghouse which adjoins the company’s US brewery in Ohio.

Combining a Disney like whimsy with a punk sensibility, DogHouse Columbus is an immersive beer drinking experience in what the Scottish-headquartered global brewers calls the “the hoppiest place on earth.”

Launched In 2018, BrewDog’s hotel features 32 rooms, including he 460-square-foot Punk Suite, where guests can kick back with Punk IPA on tap while enjoying expansive views of the BrewDog compound including its new sour facility which adjoins the dog-friendly venue.

And encouraged by the immediate success of Doghouse Columbus, BrewDog will be embarking on a new DogHouse hotel addition to its brewing compound in Aberdeen, Scotland.

Trapp Family Lodge – Stowe, Vermont

McMenamins Edgefield Hotel – Troutdale, Oregon

McMenamins Kennedy School – Portland, Oregon

Once an historic elementary school, McMenamins Kennedy School is now a brilliantly renovated 57 room hotel complete its original chalkboards and cloakrooms, an artisan restaurant, multiple small bars, a movie theater and a soaking pool.

And not only is the hotel located in the craft beer mecca of Portland, but the 1915 school turned hotel also houses its own brewery. The hotel is located minutes from Portland International Airport as well as from downtown Portland’s most interesting brewing destinations.

Located on the second floor right above SLO Brew’s original brewery in downtown San Luis Obispo, you can’t beat SLO Brew Lofts when it comes to beer proximity, vibe and urban aesthetic.
