BrewDog has announced plans for a new beer hotel on the grounds of their Ellon, Scotland brewing campus, with 26 room overlooking a brand new brewhouse.
No doubt inspired by BrewDog’s soon-to-open, DogHouse Columbus which overlooks a new sour fermentation center at their Ohio compound, DogHouse Ellon shows a similar lack of restraint on the part of the punk brewery…so we’re in for a good time.
In order to make way for DogHouse Ellon, BrewDog has taken on a neighboring 3.25 plot of land next to their existing brewery, which will be home to the new designer beer hotel and a brand new 300HL brewhouse
Set to open its doors in the first half of next year, the additional acreage will also allow for a new packaging hall and canning line.
And just as with their destination hotel in the US, the brewery is going all out on the rooms.
According to BrewDog, every room at their new ‘home away from home’ in Scotland, will have its own tap line allowing visitors nonstop access to the brewery’s popular Punk IPA 24/7 and “a killer shower-beer fridge so you are never more than an arm’s reach from a chilled craft beer!”
To be built with the support of BrewDog’s latest and very successful Equity for Punks crowdfunding campaign DogHouse Ellon will a two minutes’ walk (or maybe a crawl) from DogTap the brewery’s legendary tap house and mere minutes from the brewery’s HQ offices.
All this on top of BrewDog’s plans to open a new brewery in Australia…Clearly this organization is showing absolutely no signs of reining things in, and you can say what you want about them, but they’re sure are fun to watch.
