December is ON and craft brewers are addressing the cooling weather with exciting new offerings you’re gonna want to chase down this weekend.
Winter-Ready (San Diego, CA) – AleSmith Brewing is wrapping up a terrific 2021 with its final limited release of the year. And as with so many of their releases its worth your time. The perfect blend of rich and sultry flavors to cozy up to this winter, AleSmith Porter is a 7.5% ABV deep dark winter seasonal that’s available now in six-packs of 12oz cans through December.

Berry Good (Shiner, TX) – Shiner Beer has a new limited release which was inspired by a tongue-in-cheek 2007 commercial for Berries & Cream candy, an ad so absurd that it spawned a whole host of Tik Tok performances in 2021. To get in on the fun Shiner launched its own Berries & Cream beer that is exclusively available now at the Spoetzl Brewery in Shiner, Texas.
Based on Shiner’s classic cream ale recipe, Berries & Cream is a velvety smooth 5% ABV limited release with a bright raspberry and blackberry profile that takes the beer in a playful fruit-forward direction. “This festive beer is designed to treat our brewery goers to something special,” says Shiner Head of Marketing, Matt Pechman. “Here at Shiner, we don’t take ourselves too seriously. We love Berries & Cream and are excited to spread joy with our new brew.”
Brave Brewing (Waitsfield, VT) – Brave Little State, Vermont Public Radio’s nationally recognized narrative journalism podcast, is getting its very own brew, thanks to a new collaboration with Lawson’s Finest Liquids. Available year-round but only in Vermont, Lawson’s Brave Little State is a 5% ABV Pale Ale with a Vermont sensibility and a profound sense of place.
