In an effort to present new brewing directions and keep things interesting at the same time, two prominent US craft breweries have introduced new 12-packs with special beers you’re not going to find just anywhere…

For year’s brewers have produced unimaginative variety packs that failed to capture the inherent creativity of craft brewers…But Heavy Seas TropiCanonnon Can Sampler and New Realm’s forthcoming Variety Mixed 12-Pack are  rethinking all that.

Heavy Seas TropiCanonnon Can Sampler

Heavy Seas Beer is building an empire around its TropiCannon Citrus IPA, a citrus-fueled take on its popular flagship Loose Cannon that downplays the original’s piney notes in favor of using grapefruit, orange and lemon peel in the brewing process and adding mango, blood orange and more grapefruit post-fermentation.

First introduced as a spring seasonal by the Baltimore, MD-based brewery in 2016, the 7.25% ABV citrus IPA was an almost immediate hit in the mid-Atlantic and Heavy Seas responded by making it available all year round.

And in March Heavy Seas will be offering a new 12-pack sampler that extends the fruit IPA line even further.

In addition to celebrating its landmark citrus IPA the ‘TropiCanonnon Can Sampler’ offers two limited edition fruit variations TropiCannon Pineapple IPA and TropiCannon Mango Lime IPA.

“TropiCannon is such an exciting beer for us at Heavy Seas,” says Heavy Seas Brewmaster, Christopher Leonard. “Its fans are extremely passionate about the beer. Because they are so energetic, we wanted to give them something to get even more excited about. We developed two unique variations – Pineapple and Mango Lime – that are very much in keeping with the TropiCannon spirit. It’s a great way to kick off spring and hopefully enjoy ‘Tropi’, as we call it, in two new fun ways.”

New Realm Variety Mixed 12-Pack

New Realm Brewing is all about variety having brewed over 180 unique beers in their first two years alone. And now the Atlanta, Georgia-headquartered company (which also has a brewing operation in Virginia Beach, VA) has introduced an ever-evolving variety 12-pack that will serve as a showcase for legendary brewer Mitch Steel’s many creative directions., Two American Craft Breweries Rethink Variety Packs

First up is the All- IPA Variety 12-pack, which includes fan favorites like Hazy Like A Fox IPA, a New England-style hazy brew brimming with fruity notes and Hoptropolis IPA, an American IPA with big tropical flavors. Straight from the Tart Sour IPA a tart IPA with a wine-like character is also included in New Realm’s adventurous ensemble, as is Parting Shot Black IPA, a stylistic stunner.

The Mixed 12 pack is an opportunity to showcase two of Mitch Steele’s best-selling IPA’s, along with a limited edition Sour Series release and the Black IPA available in cans in cans for the first time ever.
