Hey it’s Friday and if you’re like us, you’re ready to change gears. We get it. You’ve been killing yourself at work all week and you’re in desperate need of fun. That’s where we come in! We’re all about the fun and we’ve got you covered. Plus we’ve got a special weekend beer pick for you too…So welcome to this week’s edition of our awesome Weekend Picks!

The Rock Boat is a music festival and a cruise that’s leaving out of Miami this weekend for five days of music, sun, and fun with some great musicians scheduled to perform. The Rock Boat is hosted by Sister Hazel and they’ll be joined by bands like Carbon Leaf and Green River Ordinance. This voyage promises to be a jam-fest and we can’t think of a better way to lose winter for awhile! Last time we checked, there were still bookings available – so if you’re interested in a musical getaway this weekend, check out: The Rock Boat 2013
Hey, Austin’s got something cool going on this weekend and if you’re down that way, you don’t want to miss it. The 2013 Austin Specialty Beer Festival will be taking place this Saturday, February 23, downtown at Fiesta Gardens. This outdoor, all-day event will feature more than 80 beers, including rare special releases from some of the region’s best brewers. There will be live music, food, and all kinds of activities, but most importantly, THERE WILL BE SERIOUS BEER! VIP tickets allowing for early admission are available. For more info on what promises to be “too much fun,” check out: Austin Specialty Beer Festival
Our Weekend Beer Pick: Black Raven Brewing Company will be holding an open house this weekend and it’s as good a reason as any for a road trip to Redmond, Washington. They will be celebrating on Saturday by re-releasing their much-vaunted 2011 Black Raven Old Birdbrain. This award-winning barley wine will be available on tap and for sale to-go in 12 ounce bottles.
