, The American Craft Beer Rumor Mill – January 30, 2013Redhook Calls For An Audible (New Orleans, LA)Redhook Brewery, in partnership with sports broadcasting icon Dan Patrick, has announced that they will introduce their newest beer, Audible Ale, at a special event featuring Dan (and his Danettes)before Super Bowl XLVII in New Orleans. Redhook and Dan Patrick teamed up with the goal of brewing the ultimate craft beer for watching sports and they began working on the beer with Dan and his in-studio team, The Danettes, when they visited Redhook’s Portsmouth, NH brewery earlier this year. From the very beginning, the beer has been a collaboration, with Dan and his crew giving input on everything from the beer recipe to the design of the packaging and tap handle.

Bison Goes to LA-La Land (Berkeley, CA) – So much is happening in California lately! Now Northern California-based Bison Organic Beer is announcing that they’ll be working with Mission Beverage to have their fine organic brews distributed throughout the Los Angeles area. “Los Angeles is beginning to establish itself as a craft beer destination,” notes Bison owner & brewer Dan Del Grande. “Many parts of LA are organic and eco-friendly, making it a huge target market for Bison’s line of organic beers. We’re excited to expand our brand presence there.” Copy that Dano!

Sun King to Chicago a No-Go (Indianapolis, IN) – Looks like Indy-based Sun King Brewing won’t be moving into Chicago after all. It’s reported that Sun King co-founder Clay Robinson found Chicago’s distribution laws to be so cumbersome and “incredibly convoluted” that he decided to bail on plans to set up distribution in the Windy City.

, The American Craft Beer Rumor Mill – January 30, 2013Saint Arnold Breaking Records (Houston, TX)Saint Arnold Brewing Company, which just happens to be the oldest craft brewery in Texas, is reporting record shipments of more than 49,000 barrels of beer in 2012. That’s the second consecutive year that the brewery’s production has increased by approximately 9,000 barrels from the previous year, and a 22 percent boost in overall production. It was also the eighth time in the past nine years that Saint Arnold’s production has increased by more than 20 percent. Good work Gang…..Now please send us promo beer.

Hop Odyssey (San Diego, CA) – Southern California-based Green Flash Brewing Co. has pioneered the West Coast’s signature hop-forward brewing style for over a decade. Inspired by their own long journey of hop exploration, Green Flash co-founders Mike and Lisa Hinkley are introducing a new series “Hop Odyssey” – the national release of 6 diverse, hop-centric beers on draft only. The first Hop Odyssey beer (a Black IPA) will debut in February, with a new release slated for every other month in 2013.

A New Release You Want to Look Out For

Full Sail Brewing Company has just announced the release of their 2013 vintage Bourbon Barrel Aged offering, Full Sail Bourbon Barrel Aged Imperial Stout. This highly anticipated release from the brewery’s vintage barrel series has been a Full Sail tradition since 1998 and it has been aging deep in Full Sail’s brewhouse cellar for over a year! All barrel-aged stouts are unique and we’re psyched about this one. Full Sail’s Bourbon Barrel Aged Imperial is massive, clocking in at an unforgiving 9.6% ABV and will be available in February on draft and in 22oz. bottles until it’s not!
