Yikes, February’s just blowing by…and clearly the craft beer biz isn’t slowing down anytime soon. But no worries, Rumor Mill is always on the case, keeping you plugged in into all the beer news and lifestyle that matters. Plus we’ve an all-important update on what we’ve been drinking lately and you don’t want to miss that!

Big Time New Breweries Coming To The Twin Cities (Minneapolis / Saint Paul, MN) – Evidently the well over 100 breweries currently operating in Minnesota isn’t getting the job done, because there will soon be more newbies opening in the Twin City region.

Utepils Brewing (which takes its name from a Norwegian word for the first beer after a long winter and specializes in European-style bright, blonde beers) will reportedly be opening their doors and their 11,000 square foot beer garden in northwestern Minneapolis on February 18th.

12welve Eyes Brewing (which is named after its three bespectacled founders) is scheduled to open its doors this summer across the river in St Paul.  These guys brew for flavor (not style) and their goal is to have “something hoppy, something fruity, and probably something they’ll struggle to describe,” on tap daily.

Words To Drink By (Ft Collins, Colorado) – “For every journey, a story…For every story, a beer…For every beer, a toast to the journeys yet to come.” – Insight Brewing / Minneapolis, MN.

New England Craft Beer Summit (Portland, ME) – New England’s only craft beer trade show and educational gathering will be returning to Portland on March 31st and we can’t recommend it enough. It’s a unique opportunity to network and learn more about New England’s emerging craft beer scene from craft beer professionals like the Brewer’s Association’s Bart Watson and Katie Marisic who will be keynoting this year’s event.

What We’ve Been Drinking Lately (Washington, DC) – Last night we hit up a welcome new seasonal that we recently received from the SweetWater Brewing , Rumor Mill – New Breweries In The Twin Cities, New England Craft Beer Summit And More!crew. SweetWater Grass Monkey is an uber-refreshing spring-forward 5.4% ABV hoppy Wheat Ale that’s available now through April.
