New Bill Hopes To End Michigan’s Beer Festival Token System (Lansing, MI) – As things stand now Michigan is one of a very few states that requires the exchange of tokens (or tickets) for pours at beer festivals. But a bill supported by the Michigan Brewers Guild which targets that outdated system passed in the state house last week and is now in the hands of the senate.

The Michigan Brewers Guild, who sponsor four large beer festivals in the state every year including the Winter Beer Festival in Comstock Park, have lent their support to ending a law that they feel limits the sampling experience at their events.
