When The Cure Is Worse Than The Virus

The UK government is facing an open revolt from the hospitality industry after imposing a nationwide curfew for restaurants and bar” reports Good Beer Hunting, “despite having no evidence it will help curb the country’s second wave of COVID-19 infections.”

The new rules enforce a hard 10pm closing time on UK restaurants and bars, which means that venues must stop serving alcohol and food well before curfew so they can clear the premises.

The UK hospitality industry is the third-biggest employer in Britain after retail and healthcare, which means up to 1 million jobs are at risk either through cutbacks or business failures…

Tennessee Brew Works Bar Opens At Nashville Airport

You’ve got to admit that this might not be the best time to launch a new business, but coronavirus fears which has severely impacted  air travel hasn’t deterred Tennessee Brew Works from opening a new bar at the Nashville International Airport (BNA)., Quick Hits: Tennessee Brew Works Opens Airport Bar / UK Hospitality Biz Reeling From New Covid-19 Restrictions

The brewery’s new location features a full bar with Tennessee Brew Works beers on draft, Tennessee Spirits, beer cocktails and wine so you can drink away your fear of flying before you mask up and head out to your flight.

Passengers are also able to take purchased beverages to enjoy at their gates. And Tennessee Brew Works is offering “Flight Packs” of that passengers can take with them as long as they remain sealed on the flight.

“We are proud to represent local craft beer at the Nashville International Airport,” Christian Spears, Founder and President, Tennessee Brew Works told American Craft Beer. “Our brewery was created in celebration of the land, traditions and culture of Tennessee and we are excited to share our brews with visitors to our great state.”
